NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CAPITAL FUND PROGRAM 2023 5-YEAR PLAN

Notice is herby given that the Kansas City Kansas Housing Authority will conduct a Public Hearing on the Kansas City Kansas Housing Authority’s 2023 Capital Fund Program Five Year Capital Improvement Plan, on December 7th, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. in the Housing Authority’s Main Office, Board Room, located at 1124 North 9th Street, in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Kansas City Kansas Housing Authority invites the Public to comment on the proposed 2023 Capital Fund Program 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan, anytime during the 45-day comment period, beginning on October 20th 2022.

The Capital Fund 2023 Five Year Improvement Plan is available for review and inspection at the Kansas City Kansas Housing Authority Main Office, 1124 N 9th St, Kansas City, Kansas 66101, during office hours M-F, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm beginning on Thursday, October 20th , 2022.

NOTICE OF CLOSING OF PUBLIC HOUSING WAITLIST

Effective March 15, 2022, at 12 p.m. CST, the City of Kansas City, Kansas will close the 1- and 2-Bedroom Waiting List for the Kansas City Kansas Housing Authority.
No applications will be accepted for 1- and 2 Bedrooms as of March 16, 2022. All applications received after this time will receive a rejection letter.
The closure is necessary due to the current waiting period exceeding 24 months and longer.
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations do not require a public hearing when opening and closing the Waiting List.  Therefore, public notice will be provided as stated in the prevailing Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP).
