Description:
Southern Baptist Ministries attempts to strengthen families by providing family
reinforcement, emotional health needs, social and financial resources and spiritual
development.

Residents of Wyandotte, Leavenworth and Johnson Counties.
Type of Assistance:
SBM provides a wide range of staple services and special services as needed/requested by
the residents. A sampling of staple services include rent and utility assistance, medicine
and medical supplies, emergency food, money management classes, school supplies, adult
literacy and much more. Special services may include kid's club, parenting classes,
community festivals, health education, etc.
Contributors to the Program:
SBM receives significant support from the Southern Baptist Churches of Kansas City Kansas
Baptist Association. In addition, SBM works closely with the Emergency Assistance
Coalition, Mid-America Assistance Coalition, United Way and Harvesters.
