Description:
Hotwheels consists of two vans, one twelve passenger and one fifteen passenger. The vans
are available to provide transportation to and from activities that public housing youth
and adults are involved.
Program Start Date:
June, 1998
Program Size:
A total of 27 individuals can be transported at any one time utilizing both vans.
Eligible Applicants:
Residents of public housing that are involved in a Housing Authority sponsored activity.
Prior arrangements must be made through Marc Marcano so a driver can be available.
Type of Assistance:
The vans provide transportation to a variety of housing authority sponsored activities for
all residents, whether living in a family development, scattered site or high-rise.
Contributors to the Program:
KCKHA owns and maintains both vans. In addition, KCKHA pays the wages of the driver.
PHA Funding:
All expenses incurred by the vans are the sole responsibility of the KCKHA.
