EASTER EGG HUNT

Description:
The Easter Egg Hunt is a Saturday activity for children age's 1-8 living in public housing or Section 8. The children are divided into age groups and each "hunt" in their own area. The children "hunt" for eggs filled with goodies, golden coins for special prizes and other miscellaneous items. The Easter Bunny passes out candy and snacks and beverages are provided for the children and parents. All children receive a bag to put their treasures in.

March, 1999

Program Size:
Approximately 200 public housing and Section 8 children participate in the Easter Egg Hunt.

Eligible Participants:
Youth ages 1-8 that live in public housing or Section 8.

Type of Assistance:
The Easter Egg Hunt brings families from various developments and Section 8 together for a morning of fun activities. The children have fun hunting and finding the various hidden goodies. It is a nice activity for the children and their parents to attend.

Contributors to the Program:
Donations of candy, plastic eggs, donuts, bagels, cream cheese etc, are provided by employees of the KCKHA as well as the community.

PHA Funding:
No PHA funds are used for this program.
