Appliance Delivery into Units

Notice is hereby given that the Housing Authority of Kansas City, Kansas is seeking bids for Appliance Delivery into units located at Glanville Tower, 730 Nebraska, Kansas City, KS 66104. This project includes unloading, uncrating and complete installation of appliances on the 7th, 8th & 9th floors. This includes 12 apartments on each floor to be completed on a per floor basis. (12 refrigerators and 12 electric ranges per floor) Contractor is to anticipate services to be divided into three SEPARATE occasions. The Housing Authority will give the Contractor prior notice of the delivery dates.
Appliances will be delivered to Glanville Tower by
semi-tractor trailer. The Contractor will be responsible for the following:
-Unloading of the truck (There are no dock facilities at Glanville Tower)
-Reporting any damage that may have occurred in shipment to the Housing Authority
-Uncrating of the appliances
-Installation of the electrical plugs/pigtails onto the electric ranges (Electrician req’d)
-Placement of the appliances into the apartment units
-Removal of all packing/shipping materials inside and out of the appliances (shelf clips,
cardboard, tape, etc). Appliances are to be left in finished, "ready-to-use" condition.
-Hook-up and testing for proper operation once in place
-Disposal, cleanup and haul off of any and all debris (boxes, wooden pallets, plastics, tape,
etc.)
-Contractor is responsible for any damage that occurred during any of the above
responsibilities to appliances or Housing Authority property
-Contractor will be allowed the use of the freight elevator for delivery of appliances
Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Bids shall be addressed to the Kansas City Kansas Housing Authority at 1124 N. 9th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66101 in a sealed envelope, signed and clearly labeled with the words:

Proposals will be opened and read publicly at that time. No bids will be received after the time and date stated above. All bids shall be made in accordance with the information listed herein. Bids must include proof of Insurance and Unified Government Occupational License. Please contact Lori Desko (913) 279-3437 from 8:30am – 3:00pm if you have any questions. The Housing Authority has the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The Housing Authority reserves the right to request additional information from any bidder.
