INVITATION TO BID
K1-1 Juniper Gardens Community Center Roof Replacement

Contract #10-06-01

The Kansas City Kansas Housing Authority invites bids for the roof replacement for K1-1 Juniper Gardens Community Center, 1980 N. Second Street, Kansas City, Kansas 6610. This project consists of removal and replacement of the roof system on the community center. 

Sealed bids should be made to the Kansas City, Kansas Housing Authority and will be received until
10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 04, 2010 at the Housing Authority office, 1124 North 9th Street, Kansas City Kansas 66101. Bid documents shall be sealed in an envelope to be clearly labeled as follows:

                                                                   "BID DOCUMENTS"
                                                                     NAME OF BIDDER
                                                          DATE AND TIME OF OPENING 

All bids shall be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders section of the Project Manual. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. No bids will be received after the time and date stated above. 

PRE-BID CONFERENCE 

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the administrative office at 1124 North 9th Street, Kansas City, Kansas at 10:00 a.m., February 25, 2010. 


CONTRACT DOCUMENTS  

Construction Documents may be examined at the office of the Architect, BYERS, GUNN & HART ARCHITECTS (913-334-3500), at Dodge/Scan, Mission, KS; Reed Construction Data, Minority Contractor’s Association, Kansas City, MO and Builders Association, Kansas City, MO. Contract documents may be obtained from the Architect by depositing the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per set, refundable upon return of the Plans and Specifications in good condition, within ten (10) days after receipt of bids. Plan deposit will not be returned to contractors who fail to submit a bonafide prime bid.

This project is federally funded and subject to all applicable regulations. The KCKHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids or to request additional information from any bidder. In accordance with the KCKHA policies, all qualified firms, including minority-owned and/or women-owned businesses are encouraged to bid.
