The Kansas City Kansas Housing
Authority invites bids for the exterior repair and painting to Douglas Heights
High Rise located at the 1742 S. 40th Kansas City, Kansas 66106
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The work consists of but is not limited to prepare the exterior surface for a new finish and applying a new finish which will include but not limited to: power washing, caulking and painting of the entire building (including all surfaces – metal and concrete).
Sealed bids should be made
to the Kansas City, Kansas Housing Authority and will be received until 2:00
p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the Housing
Authority office, 1124 North 9th Street, Kansas City Kansas 66101.
Bid documents shall be sealed in an envelope to be clearly labeled as follows:

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. No bids will be received after the time and date stated above.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the administrative office at 1124 North 9th
Street, Kansas City, Kansas at 10:00
a.m., September 03, 2009.
PREVAILING WAGE
Prevailing wage must be paid on this project, as scheduled in the Project Manual.
This project is federally funded
and subject to all applicable regulations. The Kansas City, Kansas Housing
Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any
informalities in the bidding or to request additional information from any
bidder. Questions regarding the invitation to bid should be addressed in writing
to Modernization Department, Kansas City Housing Authority, 1124 North 9th
Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66101.

Contract document may be obtained
from the Architect by depositing the sum of $25.00 per set, refundable upon
return of the plans and specifications in good condition,
within ten (10) days after receipt of bids.
Plan deposit will not be returned to contractors who fail to submit a bonafide
prime bid.
The KCKHA reserves the right to
reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all
bids or to request additional information from any bidder. In accordance with the KCKHA
policies, all qualified firms, including minority-owned and/or women-owned
businesses are
encouraged to bid.
