The Kansas City Kansas Housing
Authority invites bids for the emergency systems electrical upgrade,
installation at the Bethany Park Tower development, located at
1131 Central Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The work consists of the removal of circuit to pressure booster system and reconnection to emergency panelboard, removal of security and fire alarm circuits and reconnection to emergency panelboard, installation of new main line circuit breaker in existing generator and new circuit to new automatic transfer switch, and associated electrical wiring and accessories.
Sealed bids should be made
to the Kansas City, Kansas Housing Authority and will be received until 3:00
p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the Housing
Authority office, 1124 North 9th Street, Kansas City Kansas 66101.
Bid documents shall be sealed in an envelope to be clearly labeled as follows:

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. No bids will be received after the time and date stated above.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the administrative office at 1124 North 9th
Street, Kansas City, Kansas at 2:00
p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2009.
PREVAILING WAGE
Prevailing wage must be paid on this project, as scheduled in the Project Manual.
This project is federally funded
and subject to all applicable regulations. The Kansas City, Kansas Housing
Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any
informalities in the bidding or to request additional information from any
bidder. Questions regarding the invitation to bid should be addressed in writing
to Modernization Department, Kansas City Housing Authority, 1124 North 9th
Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66101.

A deposit of $100.00 is required and is fully refundable upon return of the
plans and specifications in good condition within 12 days of the bid opening.
