The Kansas City, Kansas Housing Authority (KCKHA) invites bids for Roof Replacement, K1-17 - Glanville Towers, 730 Nebraska, Kansas City, Kansas 66101.
Sealed bids will be received at the KCKHA Administration Offices located at 1124 North 9th Street, Kansas City, KS until Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Bid documents shall be sealed in an envelope, which shall be clearly labeled with the words:
"BID

Bids will be opened and read publicly at that time. Bids received after the above-specified time will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender unopened.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on March 31, 2009 at the project site 730 Nebraska, Kansas City, Kansas 66101.
Work consists of selective precision
exterior demolition and reconstruction, as well as various improvements. Various
requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
including Instructions to Bidders and General Conditions for Public Housing
Programs shall apply. A bid bond in
the amount of 5% is required with
bid. 100% Performance and
Labor & Material Payment Bonds will be required, as outlined in the
instructions to bidders. A copy of
Contractor’s Current License from the Unified Government of Kansas
City/Wyandotte County will be required with bid, as well as an executed HUD Form
5369A (Representations, Certifications, and Other Statements of Bidders, Public
and Indian Housing Programs). Prevailing
Wages as included in the Contract Documents are required.
The requirements for bidding and the
requirements of the work are detailed in the bidding and construction documents.
These documents are available for review at the office of the architect
and available for loan from the architect upon payment of a $50.00 deposit, refundable upon return of documents within 10 calendar days of receipt

The KCKHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids or to request additional information from any bidder. In accordance with the KCKHA policies, all qualified firms, including minority-owned and/or women-owned businesses are encouraged to bid.
